Voting for Bush in 2004 (a satire)
04 Mar 2004
This is a satire that I wrote in response to the silly aspirations to the DNC, with a funny yet dark spin.

Let's get real. We're all doomed to get some kind of cancer. We don't have clean air, water, soil or food. There is no turning back. There's no undo option. We have crossed the line of no return. Let's die together with dignity. We can do it quickly. We should not go weakly, slowly allowing our life to drain out of us while hooked up on a machine, or as a vegetable. Spare us the pain and torture we would do unto ourselves. It's about the quality of life that we have left.

We need to vote for George Bush. He's going to be the only strong, effective leader that can end the world fast enough so that we do not have to suffer. He's not going to let anyone tell him he can't do something. He's got our best interests at heart.

Bush wants to go from country to country and not only kill their people, but to leave our soldiers there to die. With dignity, and with a quickness. Now, these arrogant democrats are trying to tell us that war shouldn't be our first option that we should chose, as if they have better intentions. They say they want to make better ties with other leaders, set better environmental standards, limit corporate power, give people the appearance of more rights and options. But the reality is that they just want to prolong the inevitable. The Democrats don't want to change course away from dying, they just want to draw it out and kill us all slowly.

We walk outside, and we feel hotter and hotter, burns on our flesh appear. We run inside to escape the hot sun. We get some food, and it goes through our organs like acid, eating away at them from the inside out. Days go on, and we are in constant pain. There is no turning back. We are in pain, wishing to either be healed to to die quickly. When our food leaves our systems, it takes parts of our organs with it. The burns on our skin don't heal, and so we feel as though we are burning on the inside and outside. We drink our water, and we start hallucinating. We don't know the difference between our dreams and reality. Over time, the metals and pollution force us into a state of paralysis, and we are no longer able to freely move. We have the young people role us around in wheelchairs, and wipe our butts for us. When breathing becomes too difficult, they put us in a bed and hook us up to a machine. They turn on the tv for us. And we wait, longingly, for death to end our pain.

Is this the life we really want to lead? Or do we want to put in our last effort? Give life all we have left and go out in a blaze of glory?

Unfortunately, we don't have the tools to fix the problems we made. Therefore, it is pointless to vote for third parties. If we only had the tools, this would be an option, but alas, No Tools!

There is no other option. Not anymore. We massacred all the original people who knew how to live in harmony with the earth, and we didn't learn their ways beforehand. We are broken roots. No connection to each other or to the earth.

So I urge you, with every breath of life that I have left, make your vote of conscious and empathy for the human race. Do not buy into the torturous ends, but rather vote for Bush and his wars and quick ends, and let us die with dignity!
