...but the American people have no such out or crutch to lean on in their passive enabling of the diasterous Bush dictatorship. |
Making a comparison between today's America and Germany of the 1930-40's seems odd but its also very interesting.
Adolph Hitler assumed dictatorial power in Germany by way of fraud coupled with force.Dubya Bush assumed virtual dictatorial power in America by somewhat similiar methods.
There the similiarities diverge dramatically.Hitler attained the support of the German people by promising them a fantasy of a new era of wealth, self esteem and dominance on the world stage.Bush made no such promises to the American people except for "revenge" for the attacks of 911.
Some conclusions in this comparison are that Hitler achieved and reinforced his wide support as a saviour/dictator by promising, the then down_trodden German people a great and glorious new future.
Bush on the other hand, was allowed by the supposedly democratic U.S.Govt,to fradulently assume dictatorial powers,in a prosperous America, without even making any promises or taking any actions on pressing issues like health care, schooling or immigration. He did all this too, without the support of the majority of the U.S.citizens.
So the German people can claim they were desperate and in dire straits when they let the charismatic Hitler, with his fantastic promises, become their dictator but the American people have no such out or crutch to lean on in their passive enabling of the diasterous Bush dictatorship. |
