Palestinian Attack Struck at Heart of Israeli Hard-line West Bank Settlers' Movement
09 Mar 2008
The Palestinian attack, March, 6, 2008, on the Jewish yeshiva (rabbinical school) in Jerusalem struck at the heart of Israel's hard-line religious West Bank settler's movement.

CBS Evening News (March 6, 2008):

"A [Palestinian] gunman opened fire inside a rabbinical college that supports Israeli control over Palestinian territories.

The attack [at the Jewish yeshiva (rabbinical school) in Jerusalem] struck at the heart of the HARD-LINE [Jewish] religious [fundamentalists] WEST BANK SETTLERS' MOVEMENT.

The seminary is the Mercaz Harav yeshiva in the Kiryat Moshe quarter at the entrance to Jerusalem, a prestigious center of Jewish studies identified with the leadership of the Jewish settlement movement in the West Bank.

It was founded by the late Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda Hacohen Kook, the movement's spiritual founder, and serves high school students and young Israeli soldiers, and many of them carry arms."

The Mercaz Harav yeshiva's spoken explicit religious and political ideology is anti-Palestinian ethnic cleansing.

These are like other Zionist Israeli Jewish fundamentalists who openly say that, "Palestine is ours. God promised us the land. The Palestinians must leave or die."
