Socializing for Justice on Boston Common
04 May 2008
You've been to the Common for demonstrations, rallies, festivals, but have you ever been just to socialize en mass?

Join Socializing for Justice on Boston Common at Beacon and Charles St. on Sunday, May 18th, 2008 at 2PM to meet cool, like-minded people to enjoy spring with.

This event is rain or shine!

Are you looking for like-minded progressives to hang out in the Common with? Want to cross-promote your events and campaigns on a blanket? Are you new to the area and looking for groups to get involved in? Are you psyched about building strong cross-issue coalitions while snacking and playing frisbee?

Join us as SoJust kicks off our Summer events with Socializing for Justice on Boston Common for good ole' outdoor fun! Blankets, food, frisbees, kids, dogs, musical instruments, games...If you can do it outside and you can share it with others, we'll be doing it. All of it.

No Program. No Speaker. Just us.

RSVP at www.sojust.org - newcomers always welcome!

Fee: $2 to cover group expenses.

At Socializing for Justice (SoJust) events you can hang out with friends, make new ones, find a date, get the scoop on a job, and find out what's going on this weekend - political or social. And the best part is that SoJust members share your vision of building a more just world.

Help us take over a grassy patch at the corner of Beacon and Charles Streets for outdoor family-friendly togetherness. We're testing out the radical concept of assembling in public, on blankets, with frisbees, for justice. No loud speakers necessary.

Want to connect outside of SoJust events? Members view and post events, job & volunteer announcements, roommate searches, etc. on the website - just click 'Messages'. The SoJust Calendar is packed with social justice-related events held throughout Greater Boston. Help us keep it filled - tell us about events you hear about.

Please Don't Feed the Trolls

Wikipedia defines an Internet Troll as: "An Internet troll is either a person who sends messages on the Internet hoping to entice other users into angry or fruitless responses, or a message sent by such a person." Boston IMC strives to provide both a grassroots media resource as well as a forum for people to contribute to a meaningful discussion about local issues. Please, when posting comments, be respectful of others and ignore those trying to interrupt or discourage meaningful discourse. Thank you.
