Campaign Training - This Saturday, April 3rd, 10am-2pm, Springfield, MA

The Green-Rainbow Party will hold a campaign training workshop on April 3rd in Springfield to enable new Green-Rainbow Party campaign teams, party activists and other people who support similar issues to hit the ground running.
The Green-Rainbow Party will hold a campaign training workshop on April 3rd in Springfield to enable new Green-Rainbow Party campaign teams, party activists and other people who support similar issues to hit the ground running.

This training is free and we encourage all members who are interested in learning about running issue or candidate campaigns to attend.

This training is being taught by experienced campaigners such as Yaju Dharmarajah, who ran Michael Aleo's first 2002 State Representative campaign; Jo Comerford, who ran Michael Aleo's second 2002 State Representative campaign and others.

Topics will be relevant to both issue and candidate campaigns, but will focus on candidate campaigns.

Topics will include:

o door-to-door organizing,
o volunteer mobilization,
o community outreach,
o publicity,
o media,
o fundraising,
o phone banking and
o database mgmt

The training will be held in the Springfield Central Library's Community Room. The Springfield Central Library is at 220 State Street. The library is near interstate 91. Directions are below.

DIRECTIONS

From the North

Interstate 91 South to Exit 7. Turn left at the 2nd traffic light onto State Street; proceed for three blocks.

From the South

Take Interstate 91 North to Exit 4. Stay on Columbus Avenue to State Street (3rd traffic light). Turn right, proceed for three blocks.

From the East

Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Exit 6 (I-291). Exit at Dwight Street (Exit 2B), turn left. Follow Dwight to State Street (9th light). Turn left.

From the West

Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Exit 4, Interstate 91 South and follow I-91 South to Exit 7. Turn left at the 2nd traffic light onto State Street; proceed for three blocks.

PARKING

Free off-street parking is available in the State Street parking lot across the street from the library and next to the Springfield School Department building.
