The WhamBamTrans Arts Fest is a one-day multi-media extravaganza featuring trans/genderqueer/intersex/gendervariant artists.
WhamBam's mission is to help build a multi-gender, multiracial, multi-issue movement through activism and the arts. The event will feature 30+ artists from across the country, including hip hop
sensation Jaycub Perez, zine-phenom Rahne Alexander, rock goddess Lisa Jackson, spoken word performers Ryka Aoki de la Cruz and Marcus
Rene Van, filmmakers Morty Diamond and Tara Mateik, installation artist James Tsang, and painter Sam Lopes.

It's all happening on April 17, 2004 at the world-famous Dirt Palace (14 Olneyville Square, Providence RI). Here's the plan:
11AM-12PM check out visual art, drink coffee, eat snacks, wake up 12-2:30PM FilmFest followed by Q&A w/ filmmakers 3-5PM Spoken Word/Poetry/Performance Art 5-6:30PM Tranny Diner Night begins (dinner time) 6:30-10:30 Rock, Hip-Hop, Drag & more
11PM-2AM DanceDanceDance!
