"What's Next" Noam Chomsky Talk, Wed 11/19 |
Although this election has spelled the end of the Bush-era, exactly what it means is still something we have to sort out. Days away from his 80th birthday, Noam Chomsky will join us for putting this political change into context by sharing critical analysis and engaging in a conversation about what comes next as we can continue "creating another world at a time of war, empire, and devastation." Since progressive movements are currently facing stark choices and need all the active convergence we can gather, we would like you to join us in this discussion!
We hope this event will help converge the antiwar,
economic & global justice, and pro-immigrant
movements, by sharing info about local efforts for:
the World Social Forum (Brazil, January '09),
the upcoming Human Rights Day organizing,
First Night Against the War,
DC actions around the Inauguration, and
events challenging the emergency presidential summit in DC.. |

Please Don't Feed the Trolls
Wikipedia defines an Internet Troll as: "An Internet troll is either a person who sends messages on the Internet hoping to entice other users into angry or fruitless responses, or a message sent by such a person." Boston IMC strives to provide both a grassroots media resource as well as a forum for people to contribute to a meaningful discussion about local issues. Please, when posting comments, be respectful of others and ignore those trying to interrupt or discourage meaningful discourse. Thank you.
