Introduction and Invitation

How would you like to help those suffering from emotional trauma, such as those suffering from PTSD?
Introduction and Invitation to the Empowering 8th House Society

Salutations to all!

Please allow me to introduce a fledgling society that has incredible vision; compassion-based intention and a rare understanding of the subtleties of the emotional body. As human beings we are always in a state of change and not all of it is harmonious. Often change can come in chaotic, painful and abusive ways. The emotional damage left by accidents, conflicts, violence and the forces of nature can be devastating. Initially we may remain conscious of their effects, but gradually over time they tend to sink to an unconscious level. Their influence on one’s life may, however, grow worse reducing a once normally functioning human being to someone that finds even the simple tasks in life challenging. It is our goal to help in the healing of those suffering emotional trauma to reach a level of functionality that will allow them to feel connected, cared for and confident in having their life change for the better.
In the Eastern cultures India, China and many of their neighboring countries the value of the breath has been known for centuries. In India pranayama (breathing exercises) has been used to influence one’s bodies both physical and subtle. Taoists, Tibetan lamas, Buddhists and others have used the breath in many ways to heal, rejuvenate health and perform feats hard to grasp by western standards. Yet in the west in California in the late 70’s Leonard Orr and others used the breath to start a revolution in emotional healing in what has today become known as rebirthing, breath-work or conscious breathing.

The Empowering 8th House Society wishes to use a combination of rebirthing, Reiki, massage and hatha yoga and combine them with dance, hikes, hot springs, gardening and education to assist those that need emotional healing. Our aim is to assist in changing the nature of their inner emotional states. It is hard for most of us to imagine the inner state of another human being, but the more loving and compassionate we are the better our chances of understanding their condition.

We need people to step up and become involved in a society that values love over simply gratifying the senses, puts compassion above selfishness and real lasting healing instead of a pharmaceutical quick fix.

Our path into the future is one of loving service. If this resonates with you then I extend an invitation to you to join our society and make a real lasting difference in your life and the lives that we touch in our healing work. If you wish to support the Empowering 8th House Society through helping with fund raising, assisting with sharing information about the society or through financial contributions please contact us. We will be very grateful for your time, effort and consideration.

Membership forms can be picked up locally in Quesnel from Marilyn at Green Tree Health on Reid Street. Or by emailing me at empowering8thhouse (at) gmail.com

Thank you for your time and consideration of this matter, I look forward to all responses to this introduction.

Respectfully,

Donald-Darrel Forsyth
