Legendary Independent Singer-Songwriter Kevin Sandbloom to Appear at Berklee College of Music
Los Angeles, CA (September 22, 2010) – On Monday October 4, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 pm, neo-soul singer/songwriter Kevin Sandbloom will be the featured guest artist of Susan Rogers, Music Production and Engineering professor at Berklee College of Music, 1140 Boylston Street Boston, MA. Before joining the Berklee faculty, Susan Rogers worked with such music industry heavy weights as Prince, David Byrne, and Barenaked Ladies. Kevin Sandbloom’s dynamic songwriting, musical knowledge, and experience as an independent artist will be key topics discussed in an effort to help Berklee students achieve sustainable music industry careers.

“I am honored and blessed to be a part of this unique experience to showcase my knowledge and personal perspective of music and to impart whatever wisdom I can to students who may well shape the future of music as we know it,” said the Los Angeles-based Sandbloom. Since 1945, Berklee College of Music has been the leader in cutting-edge contemporary music studies.

Sandbloom, currently on a nationwide tour to promote his latest recording, Under Pink And Bourbon Skies, is a fixture at music and poetry venues across the U.S. He has performed on stages from the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in New York to B.B. King's Blues Club in Los Angeles.

Sandbloom’s signature sound is featured on the Laurence Fishburne film Once In The Life and has appeared in the ABC Family series “Lincoln Heights.” Guitar legend Robben Ford chose Sandbloom’s song “Supernatural” as the title track on Ford’s album of the same name. Soul Track’s Howard Dukes noted, “Sandbloom channels the musical spirits of the singer songwriters of the 1970s.”

Kevin Sandbloom will be in Boston for two nights. Sunday October 3rd at 9:00 pm he will appear at Lizard Lounge, 1667 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, MA 02138. Monday October 4th, Sandbloom appears at Berklee College of Music 1140 Boylston Street Boston, MA 02215.
