KFC Causes Yum Foods Profits To Drop 70%

Chinese outlets are three quarters of KFC business. Several
factors have caused the drop in profits at Yum Foods of Louisville Kentucky which owns KFC. One is the worldwide boycott of KFC for unnecessarily brutal methods of slaughter in its suppliers. Second and third are the outbreak of salmonella and of avian flu in the US, China and elsewhere.

NPR said 70% drop.. AP said 68%. Yum Foods is the largest food conglomerate in the world, last time we checked, owning KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Yum Restaurants,and other chains. It is based in Louisville Kentucky.
