Re: Matt Lehar

Who were the witnesses to whom you talked? I'd like to get their accounts too.
I was with Aimee Smith when she was arrested, doing the exact same thing.

We left the "cordoned" area to a different area on the sidewalk (public property) and were again accosted there. (We did not return to the first spot.) The police did not ask us to leave the cordoned area (even initially), they asked us to leave period. So I am not sure whatthe distinction between cordoned area vs. not cordoned has to do anything.

Unfortunately I was not able to find out who else was there (to talk to them)
since all I remember were commencement goers (none of whom I know) and MIT police. I couldn't talk to the former because the MIT police
threatened to arrest me if I didn't leave (leave campus was the implication, since I asked them exactly where I should go, and they didn't say anything specific like "past that line" or whatnot, just bullied me to a point further on the sidewalk, then returned to bully me at the same point to which they had moved me).

The latter threatened to arrest me so staying to talk to them didn't seem like a good idea.
I also don't know which MIT policemen to ask after the fact since they refused
to identify themselves.

So I am VERY interested whose accounts you've heard. Could you provide names? It is important
to get statements from them and in talking to the
press I think it's fair the press knows whom to call and ask questions.
