Revere Mass - Two men got out of a taxi without paying the fare in Revere. Around 11:30 Friday morning two men hailed a cab in Boston near Tremont and Waltham streets and asked the driver to take them to Revere. At the end of the trip the men bolted from the taxi without paying for the ride.

As the cab driver called after them the two men spotted a car near Northgate with the keys in the ignition running. They jumped in and drove off with the teenage passenger who had been waiting for the adult driver. The men did not have weapons; they did not threaten or harm the teen, but, they did not let him get out when he asked.

As the car drove along the teen spotted a police car and mouthed a message of distress to the officers in the car. The police pulled the vehicle over and the two men got out and ran.

The police then ordered a full 'lock down' of the area. The Fourth Amendment to the US Constitution was suspended and people were ordered 'to shelter in place' as the police sought the two carjackers. The populations of Eastern Massachusetts have become used to police ordering shut downs since the Boston Marathon Bombing suspect hunt was used to practice 'police state' measures.

Other police departments were called in to look for two unarmed men who had evaded a taxi fare and taken a car with the keys. State police teams arrived and helicopters flew overhead. The police state in action.
