Growing Movement To End Environmentally Destructive Lawns
25 Jul 2015
The earth can no longer afford the waste of lawnmowers which prevent the reforestation of a planet which badly needs each leaf and blade of grass.
Harvesters and mowers deprive Mother Earth of greenery needed to offset global heating and freezing. Trees are temperature buffers. They are indispensable in the raincycle. Each tree evaporates an average 42 gallons of water daily which become mist and then clouds and finally rain. Mowers cause millions of accidents and some deaths to people, trillions of deaths to animals, and quintillions of deaths to fireflies, bees, butterflies and other insects.

The earth is expected to hold 9 billion human beings in 2050. Monocropping of soybeans, wheat, corn etc. should be interspersed with fruit and nut trees.

Here are links to articles about why to lose your lawn.
