HOST A LUNCH BRAKE!
Want to take a fun "Lunch Brake" with Bikes Not Bombs? We are travelling to workplaces for brown-bag lunches to talk about our work and impact. We will share stories from our programs, upcoming events, and bring our pedal-powered blender to make smoothies for the whole office! Lunch Brakes are free and all we need is a space and access to AV equipment to make it happen. If you are interested, please contact Erica Rotman at erica AT bikesnotbombs DOT org.
DANCE PARTY IN GROTON
All are invited to welcome Spring and the bicycling season with the band, HighCamp, on Saturday, April 9th. HighCamp plays 80's, New Wave, Funk, and Reggae music. It's at the First Parish Unitarian Church in Groton. Doors open 7PM. Party 7:30PM. Cash bar for wine & beer.
This party is a fundraiser for the Chain of Love Bike-A-Thon team and a party in memory of Bill Brandt. Suggested donation of $5-$20 at the door. Contact Sue Edwards, Chain of Love's team captain, at sedwards AT extramile DOT com for more info.
VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH - KRIS RICHARDSON
If you've ever been to a container loading, you have likely seen Kris at the front of the container running the show calling out for bikes and parts. She volunteers at BNB because she "loves that something so simple as recycling a bike can have an impact on so many things...(and) the bonus is that my fellow volunteers and BNB staff are also all so inspiring and a joy to spend time with." Thank you Kris for everything you do for BNB and for being such an important part of our community!
