Announcement :: DNC
no-DNC Legal Observer Trainings
19 Jun 2004
Training dates to become Legal Observers for the no-DNC protests.
Legal Observer Training: Boston, Mass

Tues June 29 (6:30-8:30) Thurs July 8 (6-8) Mon July 19 (6-8) Wed July 21 (6-8).

Legal Observers (LOs) are volunteers who are deployed throughout the demonstration zones to monitor contacts between demonstrators and police. LOs act as witnesses and record information to be used later in the defense of any demonstrators who are arrested. LOs can be a vital part of protecting demonstrators’ rights to free speech and peaceful protest. We seek law students, lawyers, legal workers, and other motivated and responsible persons to volunteer as legal observers at demonstrations at the Democratic National Convention July 23-30, 2004, in Boston, MA.

All LOs MUST be trained by Nation Lawyer's Guild (NLG) lawyers!

All trainings held at the NLG Mass office: 14 Beacon St, 1st floor Board room

Take Red Line to Park Street T stop, across from the State House, near Boston Common.

Please RSVP for training sessions by writing to stephmorin77(at) or calling the NLG office at 617-227-7335.
