A Call to Action: Faith Communities and the Poor People’s Campaign - April 12 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm - St Paul's
07 Apr 2018
The Poor People’s Campaign continues the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and re-focuses us on our call to “go out into a sometimes hostile world declaring hostility to poverty, racism, and militarism.”

Join Massachusetts Peace Action on April 12th to connect with other people of faith and learn about the Poor People’s Campaign. The Campaign is focused on the issues of systemic racism, poverty, the war economy, and ecological devastation.

We will be joined by a number of speakers, including:

Leaders from the Poor People’s Campaign

Adam Dyer, Pastor, First Parish UU in Harvard Sq.

Leslie Sterling, Rector, St. Bartholomew’s

Personal stories from those impacted

Poor People Campaign

As people of faith we are called to stand together for peace, and against hatred and fear, as we take non-violent action which embraces our common guiding principle: to love our neighbors as ourselves.
