Prince Charles of Wales will visit the facilities of the British capital company Mariel Solar
Havana, Mar 26 ( Prensa Latina) Prince Charles of Wales will visit the facilities of the British capital company Mariel Solar in western Cuba, official sources said Tuesday.
Cuerpo : During the visit to the facilities, located in the Special Development Zone Mariel (ZEDM), a ceremony will be held indicating the beginning of the construction of three photovoltaic parks.
The Mariel Solar company, authorized as a user of the Zone for the generation of photovoltaic solar energy, will begin three solar parks with a total capacity of 50 megawatts/hour and according to its schedule will be in operation in December this year.
With the presence of Prince Charles of Wales in the opening of construction of Mariel Solar, during his official visit to Cuba, is ratified the participation of British companies in the development of renewable energy in Cuba, according to information released on ZEDM website.
Prince Charles of Wales and the Duchess Camila of Cornwall, the first official visit to Cuba by members of the British royalty, visited Monday areas of the historic centre in Havana, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982.
Their Highnesses will be welcomed this evening at the Palace of the Revolution by Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

Havana, March 25 (Prensa Latina) Prince Charles of Wales and the Duchess Camilla of Cornwall toured areas of the historic centre of Havana, declared by UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982.
On the second day of their visit to Cuba, the first ever made by members of the British royalty, their Majesties made the tour accompanied by Havana historian Eusebio Leal.
Charles and Camila unveiled a statue that evokes the English playwright and poet William Shakespeare and appreciated a plaque recalls the presence of British troops in the Cuban capital in 1762, under the reign of George III.
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will be greeted tonight at the Palace of the Revolution by the President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

Havana, March 25 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez held a telephone conversation on Monday with UK Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Jeremy Hunt.
Cuerpo : According to a tweet by the head of Cuban diplomacy, both confirmed the good state of relations between the two countries and exchanged views on international issues.
The telephone conversation between Rodríguez and Hunt took place in the context of the visit to Cuba of Prince Charles of Wales and the Duchess Camila of Cornwall, the first to the island of members of the British royal family.
Previously, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, in a message on the aforementioned social network, considered the presence of his Highnesses in the Caribbean nation an honor and announced the reception and official conversations he will hold with them this Monday here.
Carlos and Camila, who are winding down a 10-day trip through Caribbean countries, arrived on Sunday in Havana.

Meetings are planned with private sector business people and members of a classic British car club, and tours of community and art centres. Distinguished visitors will also learn about actions in Cuba in the areas of urban agriculture, combating domestic violence, preservation of the environment and heritage restoration.
Tomorrow they will visit the Mariel Special Development Zone, for the ceremony to start the construction of a photovoltaic park with British support.
