It is a project / book developed and made available by Jonah Raskin and Lemos de Lima together, although one is in Santa Rosa, California, and another in a tiny and beautiful city on the Atlantic coast of southern Brazil called Barra Velha.
To decipher America,

More precisely, "To decipher America (With original 33,190 word essay by Jonah Raskin about Jack London life and work)"

It is a project / book developed and made available by Jonah Raskin and Lemos de Lima together, although one is in Santa Rosa, California, and another in a tiny and beautiful city on the Atlantic coast of southern Brazil called Barra Velha.

The beautiful result is on Amazon, online, paperback.

Jonah Raskin is well known in America: a university professor, journalist, author of 16 books, a prominent figure in the counter-culture of the 1960s and 1970s, and has continued to produce innovative books, reports and attitudes. He defines himself as "professor-intellectual-journalist-writer-gadfly".

Emilio José Lemos de Lima, tired of the big Brazilian cities, man of communication, radio, TV, internet, translator, editor and book seller, wanted to do something special about Jack London, for imagining that this is a master key to understand the culture and mentality of America.

He invited Jonah Raskin to take part in the initiative, in light of his career and his published works on Jack, and was more than rewarded for this original and wonderful "Jack London: the Man and the Myth, the Legend and the Writer: An Essay in Two Parts ", which is the written part of Jonah's contribution to the book.

Lemos de Lima protests in the introduction and denounces the visit of the Brazilian president, with some of his ministers, to the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Let's face it! What will a head of state do there with his justice minister?

He also expresses his strangeness at September 11 and his dislike for the endless and inexhaustible US military interventions that always leave a trail of disintegration as it passes through.

He finally states that the majority of the American people want peace, justice and prosperity.

Jonah has recorded an excellent video on Youtube about the book and its history, which will soon be released also.

Let’s decipher America!
