Support the Sit-in for a Living Wage at Harvard!
19 Apr 2001
Join protesters now occupying Massachussetts Hall at Harvard University, demanding a living wage for the university's workers. Now entering Day 3 of the sit-in...
Over 1000 workers at Harvard University are payed poverty wages of roughly $8 an hour. Neil Rudenstein and the administration has refused to negotiate with organizers of the Living Wage campaign. On Wednesday, 46 protesters with the campaign entered Massachussetts Hall and began a sit-in which is now entering its third day. As police presence is growing, protesters fear removal. This sit-in must not end until the administration agrees to talk about a living wage!! Come and show your support outside the hall. There is a rally at noon and a teach-in later on, along with a vigil in the evening.
