Break the Silence:
Palestinian Life Under Occupation
April 21 & 22

The Boston Coalition for Palestinian Rights presents a Visual Portrayal of Daily Life in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Since September 28, 2000, the Palestinian People have endured persistent, excessive, and lethal Israeli military force and settler rioting. This violent occupation, begun in 1967, is the real obstacle to peace between the Arab Palestinian and Jewish Israeli peoples.

"Break the Silence" is a visual portrayal that aims to depict the struggles of Palestinian life under Israeli occupation and the realities of the current strife. The Narrative is told through photographs, maps, poetry, personal eyewitness journal accounts, and memorials honoring the people who have died. The display is creative, beautiful, and deeply moving.

DATES: April 21 and 22

TIMES:
Saturday, April 21, 2:00-6:00
Sunday, April 22, 1:30-5:00

PLACE:
Gallery of Social/Political Art,
