Call to Action: Is This what democracy looks like?
Protest the Protest Zone

What: Silent visual protest to demonstrate the striking similarity between the so-called "Free Speech Zone " and Camp X-Ray (Guantanamo Bay). If you can, bring a black hood.

Where: Inside the DNC "Free Speech Zone" (enter on Canal Street)

When: Monday, July 26, 9am

ABOUT the "Free Speech Zone"

The "Free Speech Zone" is a 29,000 square ft. area near Fleet Center surrounded by a fence, razorwire, and netting. According to the National Lawyers Guild, the Zone is accessible to the public BUT you may be searched prior to entering. They say you allowed to bring in bags, cloth and cardboard. However, be sure to read this Black Tea Society page as well: http://blackteasociety.org/library/update_3.php

Clever idea - and a great way to stick it back to the DHS and the DNC. One photo can be worth a thousand words -- particuarly if it is effectivey circulated. Abu Ghraib comes to Boston.

Gosh, I wish I could be there. I will be there in spirit though, wearing my black hood. I think it should make a very effective sight, providing the media even covers it.

Are there any internet radio stations that will be broadcasting from the site??? Please let me know. Thanks.

to take a play from the guerrilla handbook those who can't go to boston should organize local action in solidarity with those brave souls who have decided to be pinned up in the free speech zones. take action in your town organize spontaneous protests, sit ins and marches along with direct action to the limit of your commitement and ability. let every day be a day for a direct action event or some action to support the movement. by dispersing and acting where they do not expect we can get our voices heard all over the world.

Sure you will. After you buy that Grande Vanilla Nonfat Latte, throw a brick through the window on your way out.
