Medic update for DNC.
WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS

Boston is busy revealing its police state substructure this week for the Democratic National Convention. Searches on the subway, helicopters flying overhead, the FBI and Homeland security popping up all over. It's loads of fun!

To serve the health and safety needs of protesters and activists during the DNC, we’ve organized a nation-wide network of street-action medics—operating under the clever title: DNC medic organizing group. It is an all-volunteer, non-hierarchical, consensus-run organization that aims to provide medical support, by all means at our individual and collective disposal, at progressive demonstrations and direct actions related to the 2004 DNC.

The Wellness Center is now open at the Convergence Center on Boylston Street and a first-aid tent is open at the corner of Charles and Beacon Streets. Both will be open from approximately 9am to 9pm Monday to Thursday.

TO HAVE MEDICS DISPATCHED CALL 617-492-7083

*The first aid tent is under the permit of Boston EMS, so if that’s a problem, go to the Wellness Center.

*The Wellness Center is closed on Tuesday. Come see us at the REALLY REALLY DEMOCRATIC BAZAAR.

Remember stay hydrated, take some naps, and eat!

For more info on medic organizing, health and safety trainings, and medic availability, please contact us at bostonmedics (at) riseup.net or call us at 413-446-9888 and leave a message. We will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible.

For pdfs and html versions of a variety of health and safety information, go to http://bostoncoop.net/balm/

Many of these same flyers are available at the convergence space and first aid tent!
