PLAN COLOMBIA, war on cocaine, big business
07 May 2001
Easily enough, if you type in PLAN COLOMBIA on the Google search engine, or whatever portal you prefer, you'll see that the Bush admin, "us" to the rest of the underdeveloped world, is planning to defoliate Colombia, S.A. with glyphosate, an agent orange like derivative that will supposedly wilt the cocaine crops there like so much steamed spinach. This chemical warfare techinque is problematic on so many fronts, but here are a few that are particularly glaring:
1: along with the targeted cocaine fields, staple crops that the indiginous population depends on for food such as the yam will be destroyed also by airborne spraying of glyphosate
2: farmers and innocent civilians doused by this chemical will most likely suffer permanent orange afros if not serious neurophysical trauma, untreatable in rural colombia
and
3:my favorite, Montsanto chemicals, the company that brought you Roundup weed killer and genetically altered soybeans, as well as just about every chemical cocktail known to man, developed the same glyphosate that the Bush admin just dropped 1.3 billion in federal "war on drugs" funds to buy.
Talk about a sweet government job...
So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
