Pictures from Protest Against Razor Wire Pen
26 Jul 2004
Welcome to the "Free World".
Protestors denounce and mock the so-called "free speech zone" by holding a street theater performance inside the razor wire surrounded pen. The protestors wore hoods and had their hands ties behind their backs... they followed barked commands given by other protestors dressed as security guards. Activists are calling for a boycott of the pen, which looks so much like Guantanamo Bay... and instead calling for recognition of all of Boston and the country as a "Free Speech Zone." The protest took place on Monday, July 26, 2004, before the evening's start of the Democratic National Convention. (AP Photo/Robert F. Bukaty)

I am so pleased to see this theater!! I wonder if the gentleman who was arrested outside the recruiting center on tremont is rolling on the ground laughing!
I plan on coming into boston with my backpack filled with copies of the constitution, hoping I get searched so I can hand out the constitution to the police!!!!!
Thank you for the inspiration

Flexarod, be careful. I'm nto sure if they're in the mood for it this week! That said, the Orange Line is apparently getting searched more than other lines, seeing how it runs by the Fleet Center.

Of course, a white friend of mine said that she was on a train where they searched others but not her. So if you really wanna get searched, I hope you're a person of color.

"Baggy clothes" have also been reportedly described by the MBTA as a sign of being "suspicious," so if you're into hip-hop style, you're extra likely to get searched. Which must be because so many terrorists listen to hip-hop. or just because racism is alive and well...

Where is the "liberal media" to cover this event!!

Anyone that believes the media is "liberal" should explain why they aren't covering this far left, radical event in the "protest prison"? Wouldn't it make great visuals for the evening's "liberal" news hour?

Just remember, because you are told something over and over that doesn't make it true. You are being marketed to America, wake up!
