More experiances of a small affinity group at the Boston Proteasts |
Anarchist (Bork and Myself) Make it to the Convention Floor!
Having "aquired" two passes to the Fleet center. Bork and I, two members of
the Bipartisan Party Crashers, wearing class drag fom goddwill, walked through
the heavy security of the fleet center and sat down in the West Virginia
section next to CNN. When we saw CNN go live, we walked in front, unfurled our
Anarchist Banners and started shouting our slogans. Cnn turned off the
Cameras, but not till they had inadvertantly got a shot of us. Others came up
and interviewed us and we went on a Live National talk show by Mike Gallager.
Our passes were good till 10 AM when we were escorted off by police.
We "acquired" the shirt of the back of a Timony Provocateur.
After Yesterdays action in the Park place Hotel, we went back a third time to
protest and were kicked off the sidewalk. A large loud and supposedly drunk
(there was no alcohol smell) Irishman came over an told us our rights were
being violated and we should go right back there. He said he was tossed out to
for "licking a girls shoulder". Bork turned around and asked him if he knew
Timony, he was taken aback, aquired a facial tick, started stumbling and
talking about how everyone knew John Timony.
So we decided on head games since he was playing them with us. We suggested a
trade of shirts between him and me. After some pursuasion, he went along,
thinking that would move us into the hotel now that we were "disguised". What
a surprise for him when we stayed legal with our beautiful signs. Aftrer a
while, he just sighed, gave up, and walked away.
Great trophy.
Pushing Shoving and dancing with the police.
On our way back from the Fleet center we saw cops, heard drumming, an found the
unpermitted march. We entered a march of about 450 still wearing class drag.
On entering the march, the middle aged couple from Ohio (Bork and I)
Immediately masked up mucvh to the surprise of both protestors and onlookers.
We had a great rowdy march with Pirate yells. When we stopped we had a nice
bonfire in the middle of thye street which hopefully sent some smoke int the
fleet center area, just so they would know we were here and not in the razor
wire "free speech zone" We ended up in a shoving match with police a few tense
moments and various scuffles started by the police.
After which we had a great dance and a good time was had by all. |

Please Don't Feed the Trolls
Wikipedia defines an Internet Troll as: "An Internet troll is either a person who sends messages on the Internet hoping to entice other users into angry or fruitless responses, or a message sent by such a person." Boston IMC strives to provide both a grassroots media resource as well as a forum for people to contribute to a meaningful discussion about local issues. Please, when posting comments, be respectful of others and ignore those trying to interrupt or discourage meaningful discourse. Thank you.
