'Battle for Broad' released on DVD - new doc on 2000 RNC Protest
30 Jul 2004
The University of the Poor is proud to announce the DVD release of Battle for Broad.

Battle for Broad is a 25 minute documentary video that captures the tension and excitement of four days in the summer of 2000 leading up to the Republican National Convention. With the eyes of the world upon them, the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign gathers to take on the Philadelphia police in a battle to hold an illegal march on the Convention's opening day.

Learn from the largest march of poor people in the United States since Martin Luther King's Poor People's Campaign in 1968. Battle for Broad is a blueprint for organizing against the Republican National Convention in New York City this summer.

Battle for Broad was created by Skylight Pictures and was made possible with support from Bruce Springsteen and Michael Moore.

Order online for only $15:

Proceeds go to support the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign (PPEHRC) and the University of the Poor, the educational arm of the PPEHRC.
