I am Watching Americans, Russians, Afghans, Chechens, Palestinians, Isrealis and Iraqis Crying
06 Sep 2004
I see nothing but death and misery from these statist and authoritarian wars. It will not stop until we say NO to power over our lives by others.

(Russian People at Beslan School Tragedy Funeral)

I just saw (on television) the huge funeral in Russia for all the people who were burned to death during the hostage taking, and I have seen Americans crying for their children who die (as soldiers or otherwise) every day in the middle east... and I see people from Chechnya and Afgnanistan and and Iraq and Palestine and Israel and Iraq crying for their dead on TV... and I see the authorities at these funerals: the government and religious leaders all insisting that they themselves are not to blame and that they will not give up in their killing and their wars and their fighting to hold on to borders on maps and to oil in oil wells and to so-called national pride and to religious holy sites ... and I think we need to stop being duped and stop listening to these authorities, these government people and these religious leaders... whether they are Moslems or Jewish or Christians ... we need to stop going along with these government people who work for the rich in our countreies, because they are killing us and our family and freinds.

We must not play their game. We must not trust the political parties. We must believe in ourselves and the people around us in our neighborhoods and our fellow workers at our jobs.

This death and destruction is madness and it will not stop so long as we keep going along with these power mad political, capitalist and religious people!

This death and killing is ther fault of people like George Bush, Vladimir Putin, Aslan Maskhadov, Osama bin Laden, Ariel Sharon, Moqtada al-Sadr, the leaders of the fundamentalist groups in Palestine, Fahd bin Abdul Aziz... Tony Blair too.

As we continue to believe in such people and as we give them power instead of believing in ourselves.. as we continue to believe in ghosts and phantoms of the afterlife, or in borders, or in profits and seeking wealth, and not in life and liberty and being happy and helping our companions be happy (which returns to help us) we will continue to suffer and we will continue to be in endless war and lose our dearest friends and family to violence and tragedy.

We have to stop believing in these people who seek power... we have to stop giving other people power over us and over everything we create and walk upon and see.

We must say no to religious and nationalist and capitalist wars... and no to the authoritarians of the right and the left.

What about the peasants killed by the Bolsheviks for not giving up their meager grains of wheat to Lenin's Cossack stormtroopers?

Did not people die in the Anarchist riots during the French Commune? Was no one incinerated in the burning of Paris? Were no cobblestones lobbed at pedestrians?

Lets not forget the massive famines and loss of medical technology when anarchists plunge us into a stone age. That will kill a lot of people.
