Street Interviews of Scarecrow Supporters (1)
07 Oct 2004
Our reporter goes out on the street and interviews supporters of Scarecrow.
Reporter: Excuse me sir, I see you’re on the way to the office.

Supporter: Yes, I am and these crutches don’t make it any easier.

Reporter: Sorry to hear that. Tell me sir, who are you voting for?

Supporter: I’m voting for our leader, Scarecrow, of course.

Reporter: Are you at all concerned that Scarecrow’s pretenses for going to war have turned out to be false? You know, are you concerned that no weapons of mass destruction were under development in Iraq or that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11?

Supporter: Hell no, so long as he remains resolute and keeps killing Ay-Rabs, I’m good.

Reporter: Doesn’t it bother you in the least that despite the evidence, Scarecrow will not admit that he was wrong?

Supporter: Um, no. We need a resolute leader, a man who will choose a path and keep on going. Take my leg for example. My doctor was supposed to cut off the other leg, but he made a mistake and about an inch through my leg he said, “better to be resolute than right”, and I agree with him. He just kept on cutting right through. That’s a real man as far as I’m concerned. Sure, I lost the wrong leg and my other leg still has bone cancer but at least I had a resolute doctor, you know what I mean?

Reporter: Um, no.
