Update on the events this weekend against police brutality and use of "less-lethal" weapons that have resulted in the death of 21-year-old Emerson student Victoria Snelgrove:

A candlelight vigil in her honor will be held today at 6 p.m. at Kenmore Square/ Fenway Park. Please note time correction (earlier announcement said 7 p.m.) Petitions will also be circulated at this time to demand that these "less lethal" weapons be banned. Please look for the petitions, and/or help get signatures from those in the crowd.

Tomorrow, Sunday, October 24, a protest/rally, this time much more angry and loud, will be held at Kenmore Square/Fenway Park at 5:30 p.m. Please bring posters, signs, banners, Tori's photo, your voice, your energy. We have to stop this rising police state and subsequent increase in violence, and restore our communities to sanity!

Meeting place/time for tomorrow's rally will be at the Kenmore Commons across from the Bus Depot at 5:30 p.m. Stand up for your rights! We have the power, we just need to USE it!
