9th: Colombia: No Blood for OIl
7pm Immanuel Baptist Church, 156 High Street
Nelson Quijano wii be speaking as the Secretary for Human Rights of the
Oil Workers Union (USO) in the city of Cartagena. In these times of war
and occupation, Nelson explains the relationship between oil and U.S.
military intervention in Colombia. The Oil Workers Union (USO), built
82 years, is the most important union in Colombia. USO has a tradition
trade union militancy and is known for defending the natural resources
the Colombian people. Here about USO's defense of workers, indigenous
people, and the environment. Colombia--No Blood for Oil!, the new
of the Colombia Action Network.

11th: Indigenous Struggles Discussion and Follow-Up Meeting

On the past Indigenous Day, what some know as “Columbus Day” folks
gathered together to talk about the legacy of Columbus and the history
genocide of Native Americans and resistance that is currently happening
locally and globally. This is a follow-up meeting to learn more about
indigenous people in our region and to discuss what we can do to join
resistance to the continuting colonization and genocide. All are
to come!

16th: PFS Fundraiser at Flatbread Pizza Co.
5-9pm, Flatbread Pizza Co. 72 Commercial Street
On this Tuesday night, Flatbread Pizza Company will donate $3.50 of
large pizza they sell to the People’s Free Space. If you would like to
help support the PFS come on down and eat!

17th: Video Showing: Outfoxed
7pm Portland West 118 Bracket St. (West End)
"Outfoxed" examines how media empires, led by Rupert Murdoch's Fox
have been running a "race to the bottom" in television news. This film
provides an in-depth look at Fox News and the dangers of ever-enlarging
corporations taking control of the public's right to know.

19th: Portland Victory Gardens Project
Political Prisoner Night

Portland Victory Gardens (VGP) hosts a monthly (3rd Thurs. of every
presentation and discussion on US Political Prisoners. Look out for
info about what will happen this night. For more information on
