Stores have sales, offer freebies and loss leaders and generally do their best to imbue the holiday spirit with a commercial intent. Media and market jammer groups like adbusters have been trying (arguably without much effect) to make dent in this capitalist cluster fuck by promoting a “Buy nothing day” and while the idea is good the economies of scale will always win out over an effort like this. This year I say we should take a more pro-active militant stance, instead of just choosing to turn off and drop out of consumer culture, give it a good smashing on N26 ’04. Go to your nearest mall or Wal-Mart and do something freakin’ crazy and creative. Try to shut down the mall, and make a real dent this holiday season. There are plenty of ways to do this, but I’ll leave it up to you to figure some out, since all N26 actions are best left as a November surprise for the forces that would stop us. The cops will be out in full force, defending these shrines of commercial culture so be careful and remember Abbie’s words “the first duty of the revolutionary is to get away with it”. This is a non-violent call, but property destruction is not violence against a person. Try to make sure the message behind the action is known, the best way to do this is probably by distributing agit-prop around the area and carefully choosing your target |

Please Don't Feed the Trolls
Wikipedia defines an Internet Troll as: "An Internet troll is either a person who sends messages on the Internet hoping to entice other users into angry or fruitless responses, or a message sent by such a person." Boston IMC strives to provide both a grassroots media resource as well as a forum for people to contribute to a meaningful discussion about local issues. Please, when posting comments, be respectful of others and ignore those trying to interrupt or discourage meaningful discourse. Thank you.
