The World Bank, Globalization and Bush- It's Time to Fight Back!

"Globalization" is on the front pages of every newspaper and on TV. Wherever in the world the International Monetary Fund and World Bank meet, they are met with massive protests from youth, unions and environmentalists. Protesters are accused of violence while the IMF and World Bank destroy the economies of entire countries, cause starvation and pollute - all in the name of "market economies" and profits for the big corporations. But it has been the police in Seattle, Quebec, Sweden adn Genoa, Italy that have unleashed massive attacks on the protesters. Teargas and rubber bullets at first. Then live ammunition. And finally the murder of an Italian union leader's son in Genoa.

George W. Bush has been a big promoter of globalization which benefits his big business backers. He is the agent of globalization right here at home with his programs to privatize Social Security, destroy affirmative action and pack the government with union haters. Pushing the Free Trade Area of the Americas, Bush hopes to make colonies of all of Latin America. This means more job losses for U.S. workers and substandard wages and working conditions south of the border.

These are life and death issues for all U.S. workers, especially with the world-wide depression looming. Find out more about the Sept. 29 protest that will "Surround the White House!" to show the link between Bush and the World Bank/IMF gang.
