Boston Indymedia Evaluated
04 Jan 2005
A Seattle based writer comments on Boston Indymedia freely for the interest of any readers.
As of yesterday, I consider myself debauch'd as far as Boston Indymedia is concerned. As a descendant of Plymouth Meeting, I held out a flicker of mirthful, rueful hope (though commonsense told me not to) that something other than the usual clones inhabited the office. I'm no newcomer to their TYPE.

I've written letters printed in almost every newspaper in Pittsburgh. I appeared in Seattle's The Stranger, Cineaste Film Quarterly and Asian Cult Cinema. I never finished college. I'm ugly. I pick my nose when I stare at people.

Boston Indymedia no doubt parties in the Ivy League, and brags of lowdown traipses which make the Ratskeller look pluck and yuppie. They have time and access to tools. When they write an article it's swank, boxxed in pagemaker and professional. So, I'm sure these latterday Gladstones think very highly of their own sophistry.

The point is that I proved my case. I investigated clues into AIDS being manmade and found every shred of evidence needed to make it stick. It was down and dirty and deployed every shoddy journalistic trick you could bludgeon a cow with. No, this did not include lying. The notorious fact of my psychobabbling doesn't make any difference except for one thing: It has allowed fools like Boston Indymedia to justify helping those as did it.

With a second counter on the Seattle Public Library terminal, I have only a very brief interval to log in and register not only what I have learned and where to find the legal proof, but also that I and my loved one were brutally tortured and raped in virulent criminal reprisals from an unexpected source.

Do not say I thought better of you, because I didn't. I know perfectly well that places like Boston Indymedia worship elitism in letters as frothingly as they worship the grossly imbecile in their musical tastes.

There you go again, I never said I expected fair play from Indymedia.
