URGENT: Court Solidarity Today
21 Mar 2005
Details for court solidarity.
Court solidarity for the minor arrested yesterday is going on *NOW*. We have received reports that at least 4 people who showed up for solidarity today were turned away by the court clerk because they were not sure where to go. Below are the up-to-the-minute details.

Anyone who can go is encouraged to do so. The person has just been informed that the number of charges has ballooned up to a total of 7, including various assault and battery charges. They have been held over until afternoon session and will probably be there until about 3 PM, so please get over there if you are free today.

24 Chardon Street, Boston
4th Floor
Court Room # 8 / #9

This building is located behind the A-1 police station and is very close to the Government Center T-stop.

No one was there... A waste of two hours

The family and supporters have just left the courtroom and report some details that differ from the court clerk's earlier statements to us.

In particular, there are five charges, not seven as they had previously told us. Three of them are assault charges, one resisting arrest, and one disturbing the peace. As those of you who were there yesterday already know, all five of them are ridiculous.

Many thanks to all of you who came out to day in solidarity with the family.

The next court dates for the minor have been scheduled and ABC will be sending updates and calls for court solidarity for all of yesterday's arrestees as soon as we have all the information compiled.
God, what has the world come to?

Please remember, all these Assualt and Battery Charges are felonies. Each has a maximum sentence of 2 and 1/2 years in Jail.

The next courtdates are May 12 (pretrial conference), and May 26 (pretrial hearing).

jamie phillips will be facing his arraignment tomorrow, tuesday, march 22nd at 8:30am.

boston municipal court at devonshire and milk street

so far he has been charged with 2 felony assaults and it is possible that they will add more charges to increase his required bond to stay free.

that's what they did the minor today (monday).

2 other arrestees will also be facing arraignment as well, at least one is also charged with felony assault.

if you can't make it at 8:30am, it is likely to be going on all day. check back for details.
