GEO/UAW 2322 WALKOUT & STUDENT-LED BOYCOTT +
SUPPORT BY BARBARA EHRENREICH

9am, Picket Herter Hall (next to Whitmore Admin Bldg).
http://www.umass.edu/umhome/visit_campus/maps.html

1:00pm, Speakout with Barbara Ehrenreich, Student
Union Lawn, UMass Amherst.
Political essayist and social critic Barbara Ehrenreich
is author of
"Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in
America" ( http://www.nickelanddimed.net ).

Graduate student employees represented by UAW
Local 2322 and undergraduate students will walk
out/boycott classes to fight for a fair contract
and to oppose the destructive "Lombardi Plan."
The university refuses to settle any contract
that doesn't result in major cuts to real wages,
healthcare, and childcare for graduate student
employees. The "Lombardi Plan" hurts undergrads
by taking away their voice and their
organizations - even the student newspaper would
be under administration
control.

Local labor and community support needed! Info:
