On March 20th thousands of people protested on Boston Common agaist the war. At the time it seemed that the local anti-war movement was beginning a resurgence that was much needed after many people were diverted into the pointless (yes, pointless) electoral struggle that led to the re-election of Bush. |
On March 20th thousands of people protested on Boston Common agaist the war. At the time it seemed that the local anti-war movement was beginning a resurgence that was much needed after many people were diverted into the pointless (yes, pointless) electoral struggle that led to the re-election of Bush.
The success of March 20th led some it's organizers to call for a conference to build off the event and plan future actions. Unfortunately, many of the "leaders" of the anti-war movement do not want this to happen. The sad fact is that people are fighting hard to prevent any action from being called at this conference. Their solution is to waste peoples' efforts on the 2006 elections.
However, there are people organizing this event who want action, and even more important than that is the desire of the people to end this war now. All people from all organizations and political tendencies who share this desire to end the war immediately should attend this conference with proposals for summer/fall actions.
Don't let the demoncrats and their lackeys keep us off the streets. Come to Roxbury Community College this saturday and bring some determination. |
