Perhaps Barbara would like to re-imburse parents for the tuition money that their kids wasted that day.

'Reimburse' is not a hyphenated word, Sid.

Actually, both forms are correct, but to make you happy: Perhaps Barbara would like to reimburse parents for the tuition money that their kids wasted that day.

Actually, unless you're speaking in obsolete English, you should only use "reimburse". But then again, maybe obsolete english is your native tongue. I still don't understand why anyone needs to reimburse the parents, who are probably proud that their kids, like they before them most likely did, are taking advantage of their time in college to become active concerned citizens, instead of mindless automatons.

Main Entry: re·im·burse
Pronunciation: "rE-&m-'b&rs
Function: transitive verb
Inflected Form(s): -bursed; -burs·ing
Etymology: re- + obsolete English imburse to put in the pocket, pay, from Medieval Latin imbursare, from Latin in- in- + Medieval Latin bursa purse -- more at PURSE
1 : to pay back to someone : REPAY <reimburse travel expenses>
2 : to make restoration or payment of an equivalent to <reimburse him for his traveling expenses>

...Barbara Ehrereich will speak in support of ' most anything; it's not just that day that they wasted it - but everyday! (just like wasting this server space on rediculously pedantic ruminations about 'to hyphenate or not to hyphenate' ...fiddling while Rome burns!) Idiots one and all!

yeah arguing about spelling sucks but so does being an elitist prick and making really strong judgements of peoples lives without backing them up.
