*URGENT* Senate to Vote on Drilling In ANWR!!

The White House's Attack on America continues pressuring the Senate to vote on ANWR drilling during an exceptionally vulnerable time for the United States.

Without skipping a beat, Republicans have heartlessly taken every advantage of America's grief and turmoil following the September 11th events to continue their own relentlessly brutal version of Attack on America. First with the bludgeoning of our civil rights through their hideously named "Patriot Bill" designed quite literally to clamp down on every form of dissent imaginable in this country, then with new levels of corporate-assisted censorship of the media, and now, after by-passing diplomatic and legal channels for bringing the perpetrators of the September 11th attacks to justice by launching a full scale war on Afghanistan, the New York Times reports today (Sunday October 14) that Senate Republicans, backed by the White House, are pressing for a vote on drilling in the Alaska Wildlife Refuge.

Drilling in ANWR is backed by the Teamsters Union, who support the drilling as a method to provide jobs to their members. However, those arguments have been heard before by the lumber companies as they raped and pillaged their way through not just the U.S., but the world's forests, stripping our planet of trees, vegetation, wildlife and destroying our environment.

Q. How much longer is this argument going to be used?
A: Until their is nothing left to rape and pillage, until the planet itself has been laid barren and bare as the Sahara Desert, which now covers an area the size of the United States and very little vegetation grows at all.

DON'T JUST SIT THERE, SEND AN EMAIL, A FAX, A LETTER, MAKE A PHONE CALL TO SENATE DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS, TO THE WHITE HOUSE AND TO THE INTERNATIONAL PRESS. THIS IS WHERE WE DRAW THE LINE -DRILLING IN THE ALASKA WILDERNESS MUST NOT HAPPEN!!

MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD - VOICE YOUR OUTRAGE AT THE WHITE HOUSE FOR USING THIS TIME WHEN PEOPLE ARE EXCEPTIONALLY VULNERABLE TO TRY AND PASS SUCH LEGISLATION!!

STOP THE REPUBLICANS' ATTACK ON AMERICA!!
