A dozen protesters were arrested at the Biodevastation protests in Philadelphia this weekend. They are all still in jail, and need your help to get out. |
Only 3 people have been arraigned - it's $960 for each one of them to get bailed out. There is one other person from Quebec facing 2 counts of felony assault. Everyone else is facing misdemanors - disorderly conduct and misdemanor.
Their bails should be set over the next 12 hours, but we know we'll need a lot of money to get them out. Every little bit helps, so please send money. You can Western Union it to Cynthia Pitt, in Philadelphia...please call her after - 856-816-8715.
You can also paypal it to cyndipitt (at) gmail.com. Or if you are in Philly, just bring it to the jail support vigil at 8th and Race Streets in Philadelphia.
Thank you for you support. |

Please Don't Feed the Trolls
Wikipedia defines an Internet Troll as: "An Internet troll is either a person who sends messages on the Internet hoping to entice other users into angry or fruitless responses, or a message sent by such a person." Boston IMC strives to provide both a grassroots media resource as well as a forum for people to contribute to a meaningful discussion about local issues. Please, when posting comments, be respectful of others and ignore those trying to interrupt or discourage meaningful discourse. Thank you.
