Montreal Anti-Patriarchy Conference
December 1-2, 2001

NEFAC (the Northeastern Federation of Anarcho-Communists) is organizing a weekend of reflection dealing with the struggle against patriarchy, its actualities, history, and realities. This event seeks to create a space where all persons and organizations are invited to share their will and effort to understand patriarchy as a complex and well-developed form of social repression and oppression. Gaining collective inspiration from our experiences, ideas, and projects is also
an objective of this event.

The meeting will take place December 1-2 at the LOYOLA BUILDING at Concordia University in Montreal. The event will be based around
workshops.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:

Saturday December 1
9-10 - Welcome & Introduction
10-1 - Workshop-Discussion on theory and history of patriarchy
1-2 - Lunch
2-5 - Workshop-Discussion on patriarchy, sexism, and heterosexism with Norman Nawrocki (Montreal-based theatre activist/performer)
5 - dinner
7 - Film Screening - Lights in the Big Darkness

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 2
