Catherine Austin Fitts is awesome! Can anybody confirm that she'll be appearing with Al Giordano Monday night at BU? What is the time and place?

Hey, I just heard that Catherine Austin Fitts, the ex-Wall Street bigwig who wrote "Narco Dollars for Dummies" on is going to be speaking with Al Giordano at a teach-in on Plan Colombia at BU on Monday night.

Can somebody confirm this for me? Does anybody have the details of this event? Where? What time?

The Student Underground and

The third in an international series of 'Teach-Ins for America' by Al Giordano, Publisher of

War on Drugs/War on Terrorism: What is to be Done?

Monday, November 19, 7pm.
Morse Auditorium, Boston University
602 Commonwealth Ave, Boston.
Blandford St. stop on the Green B line.

The US is waging two wars against invisible enemies - a "war on drugs" and a new "war on terrorism." Like the drug war, US involvement in Afghanistan has already led to an increase in violence and misery. And like the war on drugs, the war on terror is likely to accomplish nothing
but the opposite of its purported goals.

A former political reporter for the Boston Phoenix, Al Giordano has been publishing his on-line bulletin from Mexico for nearly two years. He translates stories from the Spanish press and does his own reporting on the devastating effects that US drug policy is having throughout this
hemisphere. He is also the defendant in a lawsuit the Valley Advocate declared "the hottest first amendment case in years" -- the National Bank of Mexico is suing him in New York after he published reports that the bank's chairman was also a drug trafficker.

Al Giordano will speak on the reality of the drug war and "Plan Colombia" in Latin America, and how it is connected to US foreign policy and international terrorism. He will be joined by financial expert Catherine Austin Fitts, president of investment firm Solari, inc., who
will speak on the involvement of US banks and money laundering.
