Cuban Greco-Roman Wrestlers Debut at World Championships
Budapest, Sep 30 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Greco-Roman wrestling team is making its introduction to those world championships Friday in Budapest, Hungary, aspiring to emulate the performance of the Cuban freestyle wrestlers, who took an unprecedented second position.

Experienced 55 kg Lazaro Rivas, bronze medallist at the world showcase in the French city of Creteil in 2003, was the only Cuban slated to compete today.

The team is composed of such outstanding wrestlers as two-time world silver medallist Roberto Monzon.

The best Cuban performance in the history of world wrestling championships took place in Patras, Greece, in 2005, when it took first position ahead of Russia and the US.
