Kerry says 2004 election was stolen
04 Nov 2005
Crispin Miller said Senator John Kerry told him recently that he believes the 2004 presidential election was stolen
constitution_fire-thumb.jpg
In an interview on today's <a href="http://www.democracynow.org";>Democracy Now!</a> author and educator <a href="http://markcrispinmiller.blogspot.com/";>Mark Crispin Miller</a> said Senator John Kerry told him recently that he believes the 2004 presidential election was stolen. Indy readers may recall that Kerry quickly conceded the election in spite of the many irregularities and early reports of disenfranchisement. Miller, whose just released book <a href="http://www.buzzflash.com/reviews/05/10/rev05110.html";>"Fooled Again: How the Right Stole the 2004 Election & Why They'll Steal the Next One Too (Unless We Stop Them"</a> broke this news while being interviewed about the book and engaging in a mild debate with journalist Mark Hertzgard. <p>

Of course, Indy readers have been well versed in the many facets of <a href="http://indymedia.us/en/topic/election2004/archive.shtml";>election theft</a> over the past two years. Links to the extensive investigations like the Conyers enquiry and the work of <a href="http://www.freepress.org/index2.php";>Free Press</a> have exposed most, if not all of the far-right assaults on democracy. However, today's revelation may re-open the issue in the mainstream media, especially if Kerry owns up to his remarks to Miller. It will be more than interesting to see how Kerry handles this one. Will he cave like he did in 2004 or will he do the right thing and defend what little is left of democracy here in the U.S. Stay tuned!

Re: Kerry says 2004 election was stolen

Despite the Democratic Party's dirty tricks ( may the Repub's had better ones), Bush won the popular vote by OVER 3 MILLION VOTES ! And he won the Electoral College vote. The margin of victory was so large in Ohio ( I actually worked as a volunteer in Kerry's campaign), that Kerry, even with his over-charged ego, couldn't ask for a recount. Like it or NOT, Bush won.
What really turned me off on Kerry was the fact that he never even spoke to his supporters who waited outside in Copley Sq all night in the rain. When I left the Westin at 8 am, some poeple were still waiting. Kerry's people knew the election was over at about midnight on election night, but that pompous ass wouldn't even speak to his people. The point is.....Both parties SUCK !!!

I couldn't have said it better myself.
Okay Both Parties Suck...But...

Well put Symbolic

That's funny. Immediately after he conceded defeat, he said that George Bush won fair and square.

Kerry is an idiot.

The whole thing (elections) is an elaborate plot to take up space on indy blogs!

The point is ( besides both parties sucking), he didn't concede right away even though he and his people knew it was all over.....Remeber his Edwards' speech at like 2 in the morning.

you people voted?
Re: Kerry says 2004 election was stolen

So what you are saying, Symbolic is that whiney Edwards could not agree with pompous (man of the people) John Kerry. Therefore the election must have been stolen.
No Sid..

I don't believe the election was stolen, I didn't like the results, but I don't think it was stolen. Even in 2000, the constitution worked the way it was supposed to (2000 wasn't the first time). Kerry basically sunk himself in my opinion. As much as a meathead as "W" is, he knows how to talk "folksy", even when he fucks up, people are like, "well he means well...."
Kerry on the other hand, just came off as ( again in my opinion) the typical "I know what's best for you" Massachusetts liberal, which doesn't fly in most parts of the country. It was even better when he tried to be the regular guy; flashing a Budwieser, riding his custom $8,000 bike along the Charles (everybody does that right?), and who can forget "Manny Ortiz". And if someone replies about Bush lying to get us into a war, I watched a great speech by Kerry the other night (from 2002) where he states that "Sadaam can not be allowed to stay in power or possess WMD's.... And we have to take action." Bush acted on the same intelligence that Clinton used to justify bombing Iraq in 1998 (remember that anyone?) and that 7 other countries also believed to be correct....I had to bring that up, I heard some dude argiung on the common today about how Clintom only lied about getting a BJ. Selective re-call I guess.
OK who did I vote for in '04 ? Nader. I think he is a wingnut too, but I did it as a protest. Refer back to my previous posting, both partries suck.

OK RICK

You want my e-mail..for what? You're just pissed off that the truth hurts. Sorry dude. Who's to say who the f*ck you are? Typical IMC bullshit, someone throws out an opinion that conatins an arguement with FACTS ( Hey, I'm repeating what I know), and I'm a "troll"... Sorry to burst your bubble, but Kerry wasn't the great white hope, and I'm not going to back someone with all my heart just because they're a democrat ( which has NOTHING to do with democracy).
Nader
06 Nov 2005
YeahI voted for Nader and I think Nader is a WINGNUT, but it was a protest vote. I sat threw his speech at Suffolk University in the spring of '04. He's out of his tits....
Hey Rick..

I'm sorry. I forgot to tell you that the democrats are now giving out TWO flavors of Kool Aid vs. the republicans ONE flavor.
