2100 soldiers dead in Iraq. As of today. November 22, 2005. |
Appalling is the start of this senseless fiasco. Two thousand one hundred. And counting.
On the human side? Over 200,000 dead. For BP, Texaco, Shell, etc. And don't forget Halliburton (KBR), Carlyle Group, Raytheon, Colt and many others profiting from death.
All of us, that have any sense of morality? Should be ashamed, appalled and enraged. (I've felt this way from day one of the oil war.)
Time to speak out the truth. Time to end this fiasco.
Happy Thanksgiving... |

Actually I think it's more like:
2100 U.S. soldiers dead for:
Iraqi population control [223]
Oil [420]
American Corporate hegemony [140]
Promoting fascism at home [40]
Saving Saudi and Jordanian Royalty [135]
Preserving Pakistani dictatorship [129]
Helping Israeli right-wing F*** things up for Israelis and Palestinians [200]
Arming Turkey [122]
Perpetuating 9-11 myth [119]
Breeding terrorists [251]
That doesn't add up to 2100, but that's becuase we still don't know what the F*** some of these folks died for. We'll update the figures as that information becomes available... |

Hardly, it is bad and getting worse. The best thing we could have done is listen to the left when they said it would be a mistake and cause unrest in the mid east. The best thing to do now is to again listen to the left when they say we need to get out of there ASAP. |

Brad, you just don't understand the forward strategy of freedom. Alienating the people we intend to free by bombing killing torturing and spreading feces on them, and then imposing a government of kleptocrats that can only hold its grip on power by being more brutal than Saddam was, is a brilliant plan devised by our crack team of freedom fighters. If you didn't hate America so much, you might understand how these strategies are going to make the world a more beautioful place for everyone. |

Think about it. We stay? More die. We leave? Civil War. Either way? Iraq will disinigrate into smaller states. And there will be nothing stopping these people. It's their country. Not ours. (Just like Nam...)
Let it go.
