12/3 Int'l Political Prisoner event at Northeastern Law
02 Dec 2005
Modified: 06:38:48 PM
Saturday December 3, at the Northeastern Law School, 97 Cargill (basement), 2pm to 6pm
The first International Day of Solidarity with Political Prisoners will be commemorated tomorrow (Saturday December 3) at Northeastern University Law School from 2pm to 6pm, and will feature cultural performances from the Foundation and Presente, as well as ex-political prisoners or representives of current PPs from South Africa, Palestine, the United Snakes, Iraq, Chile, etc.

Also present will be Lynne Stewart, a New York attorney who has represented many of the current US political prisoners, and is facing many years in jail herself in her upcoming sentencing for representing a client charged with terrorism-related offenses.

A special tribute will be given by Netdahe Stoddard to his father Richard Williams, a current PP who is in the final stages of illnesses made worse by inhuman prison conditions and medical neglect.

Please join us for an inside look at the international movement to support these heroes of our various movements, and help to strategize ways to support and release them.
