The Lieberman/Sharon Solution to the Palestinian Problem
19 Jan 2002
The brutal, bigoted, military solution to resolving the Palestinian problem with the generous help of American war planes and taxpayers funding.

The Lieberman/Sharon Solution to the Palestian Problem

A recent speech by Senator Lieberman advocating war with Iraq should be a wake-up call for all Americans who desire peace and who have any concern for what the civilized world thinks about the U.S.

It is not enough for the Senator that American bombings and sanctions on Iraq kill more children every month then the total number of people killed in the terrorist bombing of the twin towers. He wants another American war on the people of Iraq, even if no other country in the world supports that position. And since he is one of the money grubbing Washington politicians with Enron connections who recently voted nice, furtive pay raises for themselves, he can better afford the billion in taxes this war would cost than his constituents.

For many years, Lieberman views have been consistent with the militaristic, ultra-right-wing in Israel who would like to see the infrastructure of all surrounding Arab countries destroyed by American bombs, regardless of civilian casualty. The bigotry and hatred this segment of the population has towards the Palestinian people has no bounds. Many will not be happy until all Palestinian have either been killed, their homes destroyed by bulldozers, and all lands taken over by illegal settlements and brutal military terrorism —all funded by three billions a year of American taxpayers dollars.

Lieberman’s memory mirrors that of Ariel Sharon, the man responsible for orchestrating the 1882 butchery of a couple thousands innocent civilians at the Sabra and Chatila UN refugee camps in Lebanon —and the bulldozing of the evidence. The entire world was sickened. In Israel, 400,000 people demonstrated against this atrocity, and Sharon was forced to resign. How quick they forget military solutions that have failed.

With clever lies, Lieberman and Sharon now promote still more killings of Arabs and Muslins in 2002. Four times more Palestinians than Israelis have been killed in the latest round of intifada violence in Palestine and Israel. Yet, America’s pro-Israeli politicians and TV would have us believe that the terrorism has been completely one sided—with the side doing the most killing being the innocent side?

Lieberman wants to impose American values on the Muslin world by bombing them. It is idiotic to think that bombing and killing thousands and perhaps millions of innocent people is going to make anybody love America anywhere in the world.

Lieberman like Hitler and other war profiteers, knows that politicians can get large boost in their poll ratings by going to war with demonized foes. Hitler did this with Jews, and now Leiberman and Sharon are doing this with Muslims. As a war veteran, I object to this misuse of my taxes. Problems such as care for the elderly poor, education in inner-cities, help for people for have lost jobs because of NAFTA, etc., etc. are all more deserving of attention by responsible politicians.
