O3 - The Media Morning After
04 Oct 2000
It's the morning after, time to critique the media. Here's one take on some mainstream drivel.
In the pre-game....ah.. pre-dabate show on that most main of Boston mainstream radio stations: WBZ, Windbag #1 & Windbag #2 tried their best to justify their miserable existance on the public airwaves. Taking an occasional call from their usual supportive suspects, they laced their drivel with Boston whitebread observations such as: "one protester had a sign saying 'hygene optional'". We had to check our calendars on that one, are we sure it's not 1968? Did these guys' brains seize up 30 years ago? You bet!
It should be noted however, that a cut to their reporter with the protesters resulted in a little unexpected light shed on the likes of WBZ. To her credit, the reporter actually stated our grievance with the corporate media, quoting one demonstraters remark that "No media is better than, corporate media". After some weak jokes about keeping the rabble away from the WBZ Mobile Studio (perhaps thinly veiling their actual fears, knowing what shills they are for their rulers), Windbag #1 noted that if "The Nader people want to be on WBZ they should buy some ad space" (or words to that effect). The reporter noted the demonstrators want free air time, to which Windbag #1 said: "Like on NPR where they have shows about the history of the tuba". To which we say: THE HISTORY OF THE TUBA WOULD BE FAR MORE PREFERABLE TO WBZ-RADIO!

Tuba Revolutionary Front!!
04 Oct 2000
Hey! I played tuba in high school marching band! I'm shocked and saddened that this fine and expressive musical instrument should become the butt of an ignorant jibe by reporters from WBZ. I suggest that tuba players the world over converge on the offices of station WBZ for an immediate "blow-in" to protest this smug an arrogant attack on free speech, the right to protest and the tuba. I tell you dear friends that the roar of a thousand tubas would shake the windows and rattle the walls of WBZ and they would indeed see that this type of slanderous garbage diguised as reporting shall not go unavenged. Tuba players converge! (sousaphones, baritones and trombones welcome as well...)
