The SHAC7 are 6 activists involved in the campaign to Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty. Huntingdon Life Sciences is a contract research animal testing facility that's notorious for killing 500 animals every day to put people-killing drugs on the market (ie Vioxx) as well as Splenda, GMO's, pesticides, and weed killers.
The SHAC campaign has been incredibly successful towards shutting HLS down, and this
trial was the government's failed attempt at halting this campaign.
