Modified: 09:09:57 PM
A video interview with imprisoned 60s U.S. anti-war activist David Gilbert will be aired on Cambridge's Cable Access TV station during August, beginning tonight at 6:30 p.m.
Imprisoned 60's anti-war activist David Gilbert grew up in the Boston area and still speaks with a Boston accent. Tonight at 6:30 p.m. on Channel 9 (Saturday, August 3)the Cambridge Cable Access TV station will air a video interview with him, entitled "David Gilbert: A Lifetime of Struggle." The video is being distributed by The Freedom Archives (www.freedomarchives.org}, which describes its contents as follows: "A rare opportunity to go behind prison walls for discussion with David Gilbert, a lifelong anti-imperialist activist and former member of the Weather Underground Organization. Davis is now serving a life sentence in prison for activities in support of the Black Liberation Movement. He explains why he joined the movement, what led him to go underground, and frankly discusses the strengths and errors of the movement and the WUO. Countering media distortions, David speaks from his own experience about a time of tremendous social upheaval and lessons for today." The video, which was filmed inside Comstock State Prison in 1998 and edited in April 2002, will be re-broadcast every Saturday during August at 6:30 p.m. on Channel 9 of CCATV.

A plain, old-fashioned murderer. A cop killer.

Long may he rot in jail, and any hereafter.
