Why Blow Yourself up?
There’s something so strange about being in the US after an extended voyage in Israel. It’s that wherever I go and whichever ‘average’ non-Jewish people I speak to, no one can understand how a parent can send their children out to blow themselves up and applaud the action. They just can’t see any justification for it.
Only in Israel are there Jews and I mean Jews who think they have to get to the bottom of ‘it’. They ask themselves ‘what have we done to make them do such acts. They must be so desperate. We must have really screwed them…"
This reminds me of a couple of days I spent in NY after September 11th last year. I was walking home from synagogue and happened to strike up a conversation with a Long Island Jew walking home with his grandson. When I told the man I was from Boston he commented, "Ah! Bostonians have to get to the heart of things, don’t they. They need to get into the mind of the terrorist and try to understand him and try to rehabilitate him. They have to find the ounce of good in him….."
Yes, it is important to find the ounce of good in a person (don’t forget I’m from Boston) but the truth is, there is no excuse for such actions and anyone who tries to make one is just as good as an accomplice.
It may sound harsh but we must understand that people who blow themselves up for a cause are doing it out of pure hatred because someone who could mutilate themselves like that simply hates himself.
They don’t really hate Jews because if they took a moment to reason logically they would see very clearly that they have been the political pawns of millions of their own people for over 50 years. I’m not saying Israel has been completely fair to it’s Arab citizens. However, Isn’t it strange that the Jews had nothing when they came to this country after being tossed out of Arab lands and slaughtered in Europe and built a state and Arabs living in the lands west of the Jordan are still living in shacks except for the elite!
Don’t have a conniption over what I’m saying but take it seriously. We all know very well that if the Arabs living west of the Jordan would step forward and hand in their gun caches and hate propaganda and say ‘We had enough fighting. We want a state and we want it in peace’ we all know there’s nothing Israel could say except for ‘welcome into the league of nations.’ |

pure self-rigtheous fantasy,barry. Did you ever think of going to talk with the families of suicide bombers and ask them their opinion? Instead of reflecting in boston? You didnt because you are not really concenerd about suicide bombers.
Barry is the other side of the jew screaming about antisemitism. He is the chosen, and is safely coddled in this belief. Unmoved by the plight of the palestinians and quite unconcerned about causal factors, he can like the man in gospel parable reflect on how good he and his kind are, and how good the lord is to them. Sadly, this appears acceptable to many right-wing racist such as Rabbi Yacoov Perin who, at a 1994 memorial service for Baruch Goldstein, the murderer of 29 Palestinans at prayer, said that ÒOne milion Arabs are not worth a Jewish fingernail.Ó In America and in Israel, too many racists do not look at Palestinian and Israeli lives as being comparable.
Yea, the Israelis are doing great economically compared to the Palestinians. I wonder if our politicians' give-away of $100.000.000.000 of out tax money to the Zionist has anything to do with that great success?
